Roman was born in South London to a Kiwi mother and an Australian father.  At the age of 7 Roman and his family moved from London to Sydney’s Bondi.

Roman gained some early experience acting including appearing as the lead Zombie in the feature horror film Dead Sunrise and in the Australian premiere of the Jez Butterworth play Jerusalem as Markey, the son of Rooster.

He took time off acting to concentrate on school and his barber apprenticeship. In 2024 Roman graduated from Screenwise, Australia’s leading film & TV school for actors.
