Seann Miley Moore takes centre stage as the iconic Hedwig in the Australian tour of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, bringing their powerhouse vocals and magnetic presence to the internationally acclaimed rock musical. The production opened to standing ovations at The Queens Theatre during the Adelaide Festival, is currently playing at Melbourne’s Athenaeum Theatre as part of the RISING festival, and will head to Sydney’s Carriageworks in July 2025.
Produced by GWB Entertainment and Andrew Henry Presents, and co-directed by Shane Anthony and Dino Dimitriadis, this vibrant new production reimagines the cult classic for Australian stages. With musical direction by Victoria Falconer, set design by Jeremy Allen, and costumes by queer design icons Nicol & Ford, the show is a raw, electric fusion of punk rock, drag cabaret, and intimate confession.
Hedwig and the Angry Inch tells the story of a genderqueer East German rock singer’s search for love and identity after a botched operation leaves them with “an angry inch.” The show is a raw, electric fusion of punk rock, drag cabaret, and intimate confession, with Seann’s performance hailed as bold, vulnerable, and unforgettable.
