Brandan Halsey is a Perth-based actor and graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), where he completed a Bachelor of Acting in 2022, following diplomas in both Acting and Music Theatre. Over five years of intensive, conservatory-style training, he developed a broad skill set across classical theatre, contemporary drama, screen performance, and musical theatre.
At WAAPA, Brandan played the title role in Tartuffe by Molière and landed a featured role in the Netflix film He Ain’t Heavy, shot during his final year. Known for his versatility and truthfulness, he brings equal strength to comedy and drama, physical theatre and psychological realism. His vocal and physical foundations allow him to create grounded, compelling characters in any medium.
An athletic and empathetic performer, Brandan draws on his background in elite-level sport, including basketball and AFL, to maintain a powerful mind-body connection. He approaches each role with imagination, discipline, and deep emotional intelligence, committed to telling authentic stories with presence and heart—on stage or on screen.
